Recently perusing through some old magazines I have, I came across an old article of some dude writing about times long gone or some other stupid bullshit.
One thing you will find very often in ole southern africa is there are a lot of dipshits reminiscing about the good old days.
Trust me when I say you do not have to take my word for it, just have a conversation with any south african who is of decent age and they cannot help but interject how the good old days were.
You know, when everything was run by whitey.
They will not explicitly say this, because racists, contrary to popular belief are not that outspoken, the smart ones know that their wallets do the real talking, they’re racist in business, not in real life.
Todays topic revolves around this moron saying something like

The more perceptively inclined amongst you will notice that this is not so much a lament on times past but rather on knowledge past, his knowledge that is. Lest you think this is an isolated incident, oh no, lemme tell ya my homies, these twats are pervasive in the south african motorcycle culture. There was an accident a while back when some biker side-swiped a car or got into an accident of some kind. I kid you not, these were the words that were broadcast over the public airwaves in regards to that accident.

Again, let me remind you this was supposed to have been a report regarding the accident, instead these morons took the time to boast or rather lament their lack of knowledge. I am 100% sure that if they could have they would have said ” we know every single motorcycle rider in southern africa and its neighboring countries and we have currently put out an apb searching for the suspect”
This is the dumb, “old skool” mentality that permeates an otherwise modern society.
How is it that such archaic morons, such miniscule dipshits get to have their say while intelligent people languish in the background?
On a side note, this pertains to something I will address in a separate article. Their are lots of people who find it narcissistic to share ones photographs online. No they say, why is this handsome guy showing his face, boy he sure is arrogant, isn’t he? All the while sharing every single mundane shit they take on their social media. In all honesty I have never been comfortable showing my face to the degree I have on this website, but like I said, that is for another article.
The scene is never as small as they would like to think, or rather as they would have you believe, and if it appears to be so it is out of a deliberate attempt by those in charge of said industry to keep it so. You see it all the time in countries like south africa.
I bought a bmx a while back, what one would assume to be a relatively easy purchase, not so in south africa. What followed was three weeks of running around to so called bicycle shops only to be told, I am not even joking, this is what some dumbass from a local bicycle store said to me

I mean, for real can you believe that shit. No doubt what he wanted to say was ” step off indian boy, I want my white/black son to be better than you in this sport so I have made it my chief leisure activity to create a monopoly on certain products to restrict the likes of you”
If you think I am being dramatic, I saw a kid walk out of the store with brand new mongoose ( a bmx brand ) not five minutes after I had left.
More often than not they engineer the scenes to be small so that they can promote certain people they feel are skilled and not just some average joe like you or I for example.
So if you ever find yourself in my position, just keep searching, we live in a capitalist society after all and money talks while bullshit walks.
If you flash enough cash in the right direction, you will get what you’re looking for.
But never let them convince you that any given scene is small. More than like that is just an indication of the limits of their intellect.
